Job Description
Job Title: HVAC Journeyman / Contractor
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced HVAC journeyman / contractor to join our team at Hartzell's Heat and Air. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading installation, repair, and maintenance projects for our clients. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Responsibilities:
⦁ Lead installation, repair, and maintenance projects for HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, heat pumps, and ductwork.
⦁ Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members.
⦁ Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
⦁ Troubleshoot and diagnose complex system issues, and provide effective solutions.
⦁ Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.
⦁ Assist with system design and installation, including ductwork and electrical wiring.
⦁ Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working on job sites.
⦁ Provide excellent customer service and communication skills.
Requirements:
⦁ High school diploma or equivalent.
⦁ Completion of an HVAC apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
⦁ Journeyman or contractor license in HVAC.
⦁ Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
⦁ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
⦁ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
⦁ Ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team.
⦁ Strong communication and customer service skills.
⦁ Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
⦁ Must be willing to learn and participate in ongoing training and education opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications:
⦁ Certification from a recognized HVAC program.
⦁ EPA certification.
⦁ Experience with refrigeration systems.
⦁ Experience with project management and/or leadership roles.
