Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and carrying out the necessary tasks to resolve day-to-day issues. Issues may pertain to hardware, software, mobile devices, VTC, audio/visual, or other technology. Identify, research, and resolves technical issues. Document, track, and monitor trouble calls to ensure a timely resolution of issues. Ensure follow up to confirm resolution. Set up user accounts. Install and configure standard computer hardware and software. Add, change, or remove resources from user computers as necessary. Perform system restores, utilize imaging software when applicable. Update and maintain inventory of hardware and software. Document procedures, points of contact, and recurring activities.
Develop, document, maintain, and update policies and procedures for installation, upgrade, and repair of computer hardware and software, and network servers. Perform automated user data migration for upgrading and replacing computers. Maintain automated database system for recording and tracking reported problems, requested services, and subsequent resolutions. Set up accounts for new users. Manage and verify server backups. Perform network support functions: daily monitoring, maintenance, incident and investigation support, system upgrades, performance evaluations, and periodic rule set-review.
May provide support, to include but not limited to, the following: Active Directory, Windows Server, VPN, Adobe Pro, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, and others.
