- Job Summary Tenure or clinical track faculty position in Cardiology within the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Responsibilities include clinical and classroom instruction for veterinary students; clinical service in the Boren Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital; support of house officer training programs and development or collaborative research; participate in general public and veterinary outreach and CE; participate in selected committee activities. Responsibilities will be shared with our current cardiologist. Exposure to animal diseases that may be transmitted to humans. Subject to animal scratches or bites. Exposure to chemicals and pharmaceuticals used in treatment of animals, medical waste, and animal feces, urine, blood, and vomit. Loud noises related to small and large animal routine. Must comply with mandatory rabies pre-exposure vaccine program. ## Position Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: D.V.M. or comparable veterinary degree Certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Specialty of Cardiology. Candidates qualified to take the cardiology certification examination are encouraged to apply. Eligibility for faculty licensure in Oklahoma is required. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Preferred Qualifications: D.V.M. in Cardiology DVM or comparable veterinary degree, residency training in cardiology.
