We will be accepting on-site applications and conducting interviews for building maintenance mechanics, irrigation technicians, industrial electricians and industrial heat and air mechanics, elevator and electrical inspectors and plant operators. We will also host in-person testing for Animal Welfare Officer positions; however, online applications are required by Feb. 11 at 11:59 p.m. because of testing procedures.

• Interested candidates should apply online by Feb. 11 and then attend the downtown event from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 420 W. Main Street.
• Most of these technical trade positions require certain types of licenses. Interested applicants should make sure they have the appropriate certifications/licenses before applying and coming to the event. This information can be found in the job descriptions for the positions.
• Applicants should bring a state-issued photo ID and be prepared to interview and start the background check process. The entire process may take several hours depending on turnout.
• Validated parking is available at the Sheridan-Walker Public Parking Garage, 501 W. Sheridan Ave. Take a ticket to enter the parking garage. City staff will provide a validation ticket at the event.
