Description
In this course a student will be able to correctly use fundamental security technology, conduct risk assessments, and plan vulnerability assessments. The student will recognize common attacks including social engineering, malware, network attacks, and application attacks. Identify fundamental network components and technologies, understand network addresses, and recognize common network ports and applications. Students will understand and implement security techniques through virtual labs and simulations.
The student will explain common cryptographic techniques and standards, identify public key infrastructure concepts, and apply transport encryption. Apply security controls to data, hosts, and mobile devices. Plan secure web applications and virtual services. Explain authentication factors and understand network authentication protocols.
Students will also prepare for the CompTIA Security+ Certification which is designed to demonstrate the skills and knowledge that the student will learn throughout this course. Achieving this certification is a stepping stone to a Cyber Security position.

Refund Policy
It is the policy of SnapIT Solutions to refund student tuition if notified within an appropriate period of time. Onsite courses dropped prior to the first day of the program will have 100% of the tuition returned to the student. Each student who has completed 25 percent or less of a course and withdraws shall be eligible for a pro rata refund.
