Description
The Clinical Medical Assistant and Scribe Professional program is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the requisite knowledge and skills needed to achieve certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), while also preparing for the Medical Scribe (AMSP) certification. Additionally, students are qualified and eligible for a third certification as a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA). Program objectives include demonstrating clinical care skills related to patient preparation, measurement of vital signs, assisting the physician, and collecting and testing specimens as ordered by the physician, gaining and understanding of laboratory testing and pharmacology as applicable to the EHR, and more.
