Instructional Program (CIP)
Description
Develop the skills necessary to properly draw blood specimens by
venipuncture and capillary puncture. Understand the proper handling of
the specimen for clinical laboratory testing. Patient contact, medical
ethics and legal problems will be discussed. Anatomy and physiology of
the vascular system as they pertain to phlebotomy will be reviewed.
Students are trained for an entry-level position
