Description
There are now two opportunities for students to become certified: 1.)
DAY CLASS: Students complete a 10 day training course and 2
certification tests to receive their Certified Nurse Aide and Certified
Home Health Aide certificate from the Oklahoma State Department of
Health. 2.) NIGHT CLASS: Students complete 23 nights (4.5 weeks) and 2 certification tests to receive their Certified Nurse Aide and Certified Home Health Aide certificate from the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Tuition includes an OSBI Background Check, TB Skin test and use of all durable and disposable equipment necessary for the course. Class includes classroom instruction, lab work and clinical instruction. Upon completion of the required hours, and a minimum of 80% on each assignment, quiz and test, a student is eligible to graduate and take the State Clinical Exam. The Clinical Exam consists of 12 demonstrations. Once a student has passed the Clinical Exam they are eligible for the Written Exam. Both exams are taken off campus and tuition does not include testing fees. Students must receive a 70% or higher on the multiple choice written exam to pass. Students may be employed by many health care facilities including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities,hospice, home health agencies,
residential care facilities and private duty.
