Description

Medical Records Technology/Technician. An instructional program that
prepares individuals to classify medical information and prepare
records, under the supervision of a medical records administrator.
Includes instruction in medical records science, medical terminology,
record classification, user needs, indexing, special records systems,
computer operation, and HIPAA – applicable laws and regulations.
Additional classes are Microsoft Word, Excel, and Medical Office. The
program is designed to equip the student with the skills necessary to
provide excellent administrative and health records support in an office
environment and the knowledge to achieve two National Certifications:
the Certified Medical Administration Assistant (CMAA), and Certified
Electronic Health Records Specialist(CEHRS). This program now features
our Customer Service Professional courses which gives students the
opportunity to achieve the Certified Customer Service Professional
credential (CCSP).
