Description

The Human Services Counseling degree prepares students to assist others through an interpersonal helping relationship.
The professional relationship with individuals involves assisting with problem prevention or problem solving depending upon the individual.
Counseling students are prepared for entry-level positions in a variety of organizations.
The focus of these jobs may be on physical or mental problems, drug or alcohol abuse, aging related concerns or job seeking problems.
The target client ranges from youth and the aged to those in crisis situations, such as victims of domestic violence, attempted suicide or rape.

Refund Policy

Changes in schedules and complete withdrawals from the institution during the first ten days of classes during the fall and spring semesters or during the first five days of a summer term will result in full charges for courses added and full credit for courses dropped. No refunds will be made after the add/drop period for that session, except as stipulated for Title IV recipients. Refunds based on the day classes are dropped or student withdrawal is filed with Records Office.
