Description
This program prepares the graduate to be an integral member of the surgical team that delivers patient care before, during and after surgery.
In surgery, the technologists pass instruments and other sterile supplies to the surgeon or assistant.
They may hold retractors, cut sutures, pass sponges, and help count instruments, needles, and sponges, and operate surgical equipment during surgery under the supervision of an RN.
