Description

This course provides students who have a current Certified Nurse Aide (Long Term Care) certification with an additional 16 hours of training. These students are then eligible to be deemed a Certified Home Health Aide. There is no test for CNAs who received certification after March 2012. Students receiving certification before March 2012 will be required to take a state test. This testing fee of $90 is not included in the tuition cost. There is a State Deeming Fee of $15 and it is not included in the tuition cost. Skill Sets Acquired: Communication, Nutrition, Mobility Exercise, Resident Rights, Social Emotional Needs, Vital Signs, Fire Safety Emergency, Grooming, Bathing Positioning, Range of Motion, Personal Hygiene and Special Home Care Procedures. Prepares For Cert: Yes. Cert Type: Certified by Oklahoma State Department of Health Registered with Oklahoma Nurse Aide Registry.
