Description
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) play an important role in the health care field, as the people who most often deal directly with patients on a day-to-day basis. From taking care of the needs of the patient to conveying any problems and discomforts to their supervisory nurses and doctors, the LPN frequently serves as the chief communicator for patients.
Meridian’s LPN program is divided into different courses of instruction. Each course has objectives the you’ll need to achieve before moving to the next course of instruction. In addition to mastering classroom theory, you’ll spend time in a variety of clinical settings honing your skills.
The LPN program will be completed in approximately 12 months. Once licensed, you’ll be ready for work in hospitals, home health, doctor’s offices, long-term care facilities and various health care agencies. Upon successful completion of the Practical Nursing Program, graduates may apply to take the National Council Licensure examination for Practical Nurses.
