Description
In this ASE certified program, students use problem-solving skills while learning automotive principles such as engine operation and repair, brakes and front ends, suspension, steering and alignment, computer controls, fuel injection, electrical systems, hear/air conditioning systems and more. To be employable in this career field, individuals should have a clean driving record and no criminal record. Students are given the opportunity to obtain credentials through Oklahoma Department of Career and Technical Education and AYES certification. After successful completion of this program, students may become certified through the National Automotive Technician Education Foundation, NATEF, in eight areas. These areas include brakes, steering and suspension, engine performance, engine repair, manual drive train and axles, automatic transmission, heating/air conditioning and electrical systems. Students also have the opportunity to become certified through the Automotive Youth Educational Systems, AYES, in the above mentioned eight areas.

Refund Policy
Yes, If a tuition paying student is dropped or withdraws prior to attending 60% of a semester/trimester, that student will be given a refund based on actual hours attended. Conversely, a student who withdraws after attending 60% of the semester/trimester will not be entitled to a refund. The unused portion of any tuition paid in excess of a $20.00 administrative fee will be refunded according to scale as listed on page 22 of Student Handbook.
