Staff Auditor City National Bank – Lawton, OK Completed Bachelor of Accounting or Business with Accounting emphasis degree is required to apply for this positionDescriptionGÇó Perform and complete audits and reports by designated deadlines. Must be able to learn, comprehend, and perform various audits and reviews that may include any or all of the following types of audits; bank audits, branch audits, compliance audits, IT audits, loan reviews, specialty audits, and other projects as assigned.GÇó Perform audits by: testing, examining, analyzing; making recommendations; and communicate findings to management, committees, and board of directors both verbally and in writing.GÇó Submit reports and other communications to audit supervisors for review and approval before distribution to management.GÇó Apply effective and efficient time management skills to complete audits and projects on time. Document, update, and maintain work paper and report files to include final archiving.GÇó Submit audit work papers and other documentation to supervisors for review and complete assigned follow-up tasks and corrections as instructed.GÇó Responsible for updating the exception database after each report and entering management responses as soon as they are received.GÇó Provide updates, status reports, schedules, and other information to supervisors as requested.GÇó Apply effective and efficient time management skills to complete audits and projects on time. Document, update, and maintain work papers and reports including exception tracking and final archiving.GÇó Attend contact meetings and other meetings with supervisors to discuss audit schedules, status of the audits, quantity and quality of the work, training, issues with audits or clients, and other topics.GÇó Attend training sessions and classes to include individual and department training, webinars, seminars, and other learning events to maintain and improve technical skills and knowledge.GÇó Must be able to comply with all corporate policies and regulatory requirements including protection of information and confidentiality as well as professional and regulatory standards and ethics.GÇó Travel approximately 10% of the year.GÇó Complete other job duties as assigned.GÇó Must have a valid driverGÇÖs license in order to travel to various local onsite locations and out of state locations.Education and ExperienceGÇó Completed Bachelor of Accounting or Business with Accounting emphasis degree is required.GÇó Experience in audit, banking regulations, lending, or accounting is a plus.Skills and ProficienciesGÇó Must be proficient with MS Office applications and Adobe with expertise in Excel.GÇó Ability to build and work with spreadsheets.GÇó Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple projects working as an individual or as part of a team.GÇó Must be able to communicate well and build rapport with client employees, management, committees, and board of directors as well as with coworkers.GÇó Must be able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines.GÇó Must have strong initiative to examine, analyze, assess, and draw conclusions from audit work and present findings to multiple audiences.GÇó Must have working knowledge of accounting and audit principles.GÇó Must have composition and proofreading skills.GÇó Must be able to read and interpret policy as well as state and federal regulations.Physical RequirementsGÇó Must be able to climb, crouch, pull, push, lift, engage in repetitive motions, grasp, walk, touch, speak, hear, and see.GÇó Must be able to sit for extended periods of time working on a computer or attending training.GÇó Use computer keyboards as well as looking at computer monitors and reading documents daily.GÇó Must be able to stand for long periods of time observing, interviewing, conducting audits, counting cash, and other activities related to performing the audits.GÇó Must be able to travel in a car or fly when attending training or conducting onsite audits at various locations locally and out of state.GÇó Physical activities include but are not limited to climbing stairs when elevators are not available; walking up steps to buildings; lifting, carrying, and transporting boxes filled with paper documents (includes stacks of paper files and other hardcopy documents); lifting, carrying, and transporting a laptop computer in a computer bag (including supplies stored in the same bag).
