We are currently looking to fill an Accounting Technician position with an Edmond Company: the ideal candidate will either have an accounting degree plus 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable, or 5 years of experience in lieu of an accounting degree.
Shift: 1st, Monday – Friday
Starting Pay: $13 – $15 per hour, depending on experience
Accounting Technician Position Essential Job Responsibilities:
*The primary job responsibility of an accounting assistant is daily reporting of cash sales and
account receivables for the branch, handling of petty
cash, customer service, maintaining the credit on charge accounts by calling past due
customers, processing past due credit letters.
*Entry of accounts payable for all branch invoicing.
*Daily reporting of branch cash sales and accounts receivable to the corporate location.
*Manage credit accounts including past-due customers, processing credit letters & applications
and setting up new customers in the system.
*Receive payments on charge accounts as well as COD payments, assist customers with
*Answering the phone in a professional manner and correctly directing customers to their
*Managing external and intra-departmental mail.
*Issue, input, and resolve discrepancies with vendors through the use of Purchase Orders to maintain an accurate inventory.
*Proficient with various computer programs, including Quick Books, Excel or other
spreadsheets, database/CRM software, other accounting/manufacturing software and ten key
calculators. Quick Books experience is mandatory for this position.
*Must be outgoing with a friendly attitude.
