Job Description

Farmworkers and Laborers, Crops – Must meet driver requirements, Exposure to extreme temperatures, Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs., Drug Screen, Must be able to withstand repetitive movements, extensive walking and frequent stooping. Operating farm equipment and machinery such as 50-75 hp tracotrs, 1 ton truck and skid steer for pecan harvesting, cleaning and processing pecans, tree digging, bagging, loading for market, harvesting grain, oilseed, forage crops such as hemp Nov-Jan; ground preparation for planting pecan trees, tree grafting, staking trees, planting vegetables, nursery pruning, weeding, planting grain, oilseed, forage crops Feb-May; grafting, pruning, staking, weeding and harvesting vegetable June-Sept; driving pickup to obtain parts and supplies; repairs and maintenance to equipment, building and fences. Occasional, overnight, off-site planting of trees grown by the employer possible; if such work is necessary employer will pay travel time from listed worksite in Tishomingo to location as well as meals and lodging until return to listed worksite in Tishomingo. May have to work nights, possibly weekends. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath; maintaining of worksite and equipment; also cleaning location and equipment; rate of pay may exceed stated wage rate at employer’s discretion, based on factors including experience. Three (3) months experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
