Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

John Zink is looking for a motivated and self-driven Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our team in Tulsa, OK! The successful candidate should possess strong technical skills as well as excellent communication skills. Previous experience in the chemical or oil/gas processing market is highly desirable.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Design the BMS (Burner Management System) for thermal oxidizer? ? ? ? ? ? ? systems
  • Specify Valves and Instrumentation
  • Provide expertise/support on process control for thermal oxidizer? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? systems
  • Program PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems
  • Design HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems
  • Prepare documentation such as process control narratives, cause-and-? ? ? ? effect matrices, input/output lists, instrument lists, alarm/setpoint lists? ? ? ? & process logic diagrams

What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:?
  • 2+ years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR 5+ years of engineering equivalent
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

    Physical Requirements

    ????? Occasional repetitive tasks

    ????? Walking, standing, stooping, crouching

    ????? Occasional heavy lifting (up to 25 lbs.)

    ????? Occasional work in an industrial environment

What Will Put You Ahead?

? ? ? ?Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience of Instrumentation and Controls Engineering in an? ? Oil & Gas and/or Petrochemical industry
  • Experience with combustion equipment
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
