The position has the responsibility of supporting the mission of the hospital which is to provide patients with the highest quality of health care within an atmosphere of genuine caring. The food service worker, under the direction of the administrative dietitian and the food service supervisor, is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food production in preparing meals for patients on regular and therapeutic diets, cafeteria meal service and special function meals. They are also responsible for the performance of any task necessary to maintain the proper functioning of the department.
Must have current Rogers or Tulsa County Food Handler’s Permit. Previous Food service experience is a plus. Must be able to read and/or understand English and follow written and verbal instructions.
Hospital food service experience preferred. Must be able to follow standardized recipes. Must be able to operate small food service equipment and exercise caution when necessary. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, bend and stoop. Some lifting, stooping and bending required. Must be able to coordinate own workflow. Should be skilled cleaning.
