Job Description

Position Summary
This role is responsible for providing overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the organization, specifically to the Maintenance and Repair of CONUS (inside continental United States) and OCONUS (outside the continental United States) aircraft. Oversight of these functional areas is executed with the objective of maximizing quality, safety and maintenance efficiencies; as well as day-to-day leadership and management ensuring quality and Fully Mission Capable (FMC) readiness goals are met. Additionally, leadership needs to be executed to maximize efficiency, production rates and direct labor utilization while maintaining safety, quality and employee morale. This position works closely with the Director of Maintenance, Program Managers, Project Managers, Site Leads and Lead Aircraft Technicians (A&P’s) to ensure safe and efficient use of company assets. The role is also responsible to ensure production is maintained, working closely with Program Manager and Director of Maintenance; delivering high quality maintenance within promised and competitive delivery cycles while working very closely with quality assurance, ensuring FAA compliance, ensuring Airworthiness, producing minimal defects in quality and workmanship and safe for flight repairs.

Essential Functions Statement:
Coordinate and synchronize maintenance functions with Director of Maintenance, Program Manager, A&P and Avionics Technicians, quality, technical services, and ensuring high quality deliveries to customers.
Lead staffing efforts to ensure adequate manpower is available to accomplish mission.
Perform duties as the Assistant Director of Maintenance for the companies FAA part 135 certificates.
Ensure a comprehensive training plan is in place and that training is executed to satisfy Maintenance capabilities.
Provide advice, guidance, and direction with professional staff to resolve operating problems within corporate framework.
Prepare updates and communicate with the customer (site personnel) and Director of Maintenance daily.
Build and develop operations organization, processes, and procedures to support strategic direction.
Establish operation standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and complete and on-time delivery.
Assist in Preparation of budgets and proposals.
Assist the Director of Maintenance in Technical assistance for aircraft.
Lead a group of CONUS and OCONUS mechanics, avionics and DSI personnel.
Answer technical question and logistics issues.
Monitor aircraft scheduled maintenance items and schedule items due with the Director of Maintenance.

Required Education and Experience
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 10 years of experience in aviation maintenance; or
3 years of experience in aviation maintenance and King Air aircrafts
7 years of experience in aviation maintenance with three years’ experience specifically on King Air aircraft
3 Years Leadership/Manager or Supervisor experience
Proficient in MS word, Excel, and Power Point software programs

Preferred Education and Experience
Aircraft Management Experience: 1 year of aircraft maintenance operational management (scheduling maintenance to coincide with aircraft operations)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation
Management Skills Training Certificate
Hazardous Materials Training Certificate

Certificates and Licenses
FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate with 10 year history required. Aircraft Maintenance experience/time from military service can be used in conjunction with A&P experience/time.
Valid State Issued Driver’s License
