Overview
The Noble Research Institute LLC, Ardmore, Oklahoma, is seeking an Agricultural Consultant 1 to complement a team of consultants representing several agricultural disciplines, with this position focusing on pasture and range consultation. This team provides, without charge, technical and systems management assistance and education to farmers, ranchers and other natural resource managers in the southern Great Plains. The consultant is expected to participate in professional leadership roles and assist in applied research and demonstration activities.

Responsibilities
The primary duties of the Agricultural Consultant 1 will include working within a multi-disciplinary team environment to assist agricultural producers and other land stewards achieve their financial, production and quality of life goals.

In addition to consulting, duties will include participating in educational programs, outreach activities, demonstrations and a limited amount of applied research. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with internal groups as well as universities and various agricultural agencies; and actively participate in appropriate professional organizations.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in appropriate agricultural field or discipline is required. Master’s degree in Range Science, Forage Science, or Range/Pasture Ecology or closely related field with a grazing management emphasis is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years directly related professional experience is strongly preferred. A farm or ranch background is also preferred.

Experience in applied agricultural research is preferred. Knowledge of regional agricultural practices and a demonstrated ability to communicate are required.

Salary commensurate with candidate’s education and experience. Will consider hiring at a level 2 or 3, dependent upon candidate’s education, relevant experience and knowledge, skills and abilities
