Description:Summary:Responsible for: Creating a clean and safe environment, that enhances the appearance of the facility and designated assigned areas.Procedures include: damp dusting horizontal surfaces, vents, trash removal, cleaning/scouring sinks and stools, dry and wet mopping hard surfaced floors, vacuuming carpeting and upholstery, washing windows, door frames and other vertical surfaces.Stocks paper items as designated, maintains cart and equipment in a clean and organized, working condition – Work Schedule:3:30-11:30 p.m., with rotating weekends Qualifications / Specifications:Education:High School diploma or equivalent required.Experience:Housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting preferred.Essential Technical / Motor Skills:Must be able to perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties in assigned area and in accordance with schedules; maintains a high level of cleanliness at all times according to established procedures.Interpersonal Skills:Must be able to communicate both orally and written, with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and families in an effective manner, exhibiting tact, enthusiasm, and patience.Must be able to be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.Essential Cognitive Abilities:Requires communication and organizational skills.Requires reasoning ability and good independent judgment.Requires working with frequent interruptions.Essential Sensory Requirements:Able to interpret information quickly and apply to day-to-day operations.Able to analyze patient communications
