Utilize the nursing
process in care delivery and provide nursing leadership for other patient care
+ Completes admitting and shiftassessments on assigned patients; accurately and within time-frame set inpolicy and procedures.
+ Utilizes critical judgment toanalyze patient assessment data, develops a plan care for each assignedpatient and delegates patient care appropriately.
+ Implements complex andindividualized nursing interventions for each patient assigned.
+ Evaluates the effect of nursingcare and modifies interventions based on the patient’s response.
+ Documents all nursing caregiven and adheres to nursing standards and institution policies andprocedures.
+ Consistently and accuratelyimplements and records physicians’ orders.
+ Maintain working knowledge ofhospital and unit specific policies, protocols, and care paths.
+ Educate patient and familybased on assessed needs and documents education provided.
+ Acts as a clinical resource toand supervises care delivered by LPNs and Techs.
+ Licensed by the Oklahoma Boardof Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
+ Professional specialtycertification required for certified incumbents.
+ Current CPR (HealthcareProvider).
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursingpreferred.

+ Lifting, carrying, pushingand/or pulling up to 100 lbs.
+ Stooping, kneeling and/orcrouching daily
+ Standing or walking more than 5hours a day
+ Running to respond to patientemergencies
+ Reaching, grasping, fingering,and/or feeling more than 5 hours a day.
+ Visual acuity in order tocorrectly distinguish skin tone variations, evidence of IV infiltration,infection; able to read telemetry, blood pressure gauges, etc.
+ Audio acuity in order tocorrectly distinguish various body sounds (i.e., respirations, hearttones, bowel sounds).
+ Audio acuity to discern soundsmade by various types of machinery or equipment that would indicatedangerous or improper operation
