Directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for liaison tasks within area of assigned responsibility.
Participate in design studies and preliminary design work to include identification of OEM parts and data. Component parts research and selection as needed. Provide guidance to engineering. Review and sign off of designs and DCNs from Engineering before release to insure accuracy of and traceability of all drawings going to planning and configuration management.
Provide inputs for bids, budgets, and proposals and schedules.
Coordinate as technical interface with the OEM, customer, and engineering to define specific requirements that may affect training equipment design efforts.
Review incoming data, maintain and coordinate DIR’s, configuration changes, additional parts requirements and schedule changes.
Participate as needed in flight tests, parts and data conferences and customer reviews.
Maintain and coordinate Discrepancy Reports, APLD’s.
Coordinate running tests prior to customer acceptance.
Run acceptance tests prior to ship in conjunction with engineers and confirm all tests run and hardware is operational.
Coordinate teardown, ship and installation of equipment.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and REQUIEMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field or AS plus 3 year’s technical experience or 8 years related technical experience and/or training; General knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering as it applies to Flight Simulation is preferred.
Computer Literate, Spreadsheet applications and databases, CAD programs and viewers.
Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.
Interact within a cooperative environment through beneficial behavior, commitment to common goals, contribution to problem solving, communication of ideas and suggestions, and encouragement to other employees and departments.
Accountable for the security of FSI materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of FSI products.
Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.
Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance.
