Home Monitor/Clerk

Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)


Recruit and monitor family day care homes (FDCH) providers participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).  Enforce United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations, Oklahoma CACFP policies, and sponsoring organization (SO) policies.  Review & maintain provider records for compliance and accuracy.  Provide training and technical assistance to FDCH providers.


?      Education or specialized training in home economics, child development, nutrition, social work, or a related field

?      Experience in child care, nutrition, social work, or a related field

?      Computer experience

?      Ability to file documents in organized manner

?      Be able to pass ­OSBI background check

?      Professionalism

?      Good communication skills

?      Be self-motivated and self-reliant

?      Must have reliable transportation


?      Ability to follow Supervisor’s direction/assignments, explicitly

?      Ability to communicate effectively with adults and children from diverse backgrounds

?      Ability to work independently, organize time, prioritize responsibilities, and accurately complete multiple tasks, as well as be a team player

?      Ability to learn Department of Human Services (DHS) FDCH licensing standards

?      Must be willing to perform necessary job-related travel (Including up to 500 to 1000 miles per month, reimbursable mileage)


Recruit, enroll, and train providers in the CACFP

Offer technical assistance to providers in regards to USDA regulations, Oklahoma policies, and SO policies

Maintain an active caseload of FDCH providers

Schedule, carry out and document required home visits and appropriate follow-up visits

Maintain positive relationships with child care providers in the local community


Foster professionalism and quality in FDCH

Participate in state-sponsored workshops and professional conferences to keep abreast of regulatory changes

Review provider cycle menu and meal service record-keep forms for compliance with CACFP

Review provider attendance records for compliance with CACFP regulations

Cross-check attendance records with enrollment forms, tiering, and income-eligibility records, and home visit reports

to assure compliance

Review claim information to process provider monthly CACFP reimbursement

Maintain complete accurate and up-to-date files on all assigned providers

Prepare for/assist with independent audits and State Department of Educations (SDE) reviews

General clerical duties (answer phones, data entry, fax documents, etc.)

Communicate with DHS in regards to FDCH providers

Must be knowledgeable and comply with all regulations as outlined by funding sources.

Any and all other duties, as assigned


Under the direct supervision of the CACFP Program Director
