3M is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician for the Industrial Business Group (IBG)/Advanced Materials Division (AdMD), located in Quapaw, OK. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.
The person hired for this position will prepare and perform analysis of raw and finished materials by ICP-MS, Flame AA, IC, UV-Vis spectrometer, titration, GC, FTIR, and various other instrumental and wet chemistry techniques.
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
+ Conducting analysis of samples with minimal supervision and report results.
+ Supporting QC lab process improvement initiatives.
+ Supporting product validations and optimizations.
+ Utilizing LIMS and other Computer Systems.
+ Documenting all test results.
+ Maintenance of laboratory equipment.
+ Participating in quality improvement programs.
+ Maintaining/improving testing cycle times for QC.
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ High school diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution
+ Minimum of three (3) years laboratory environment experience in a private, public, government or military environment
+ Associates/Two Year Technical degree in Chemistry or higher from an accredited university
+ Minimum five (5) years of experience in an analytical laboratory
+ Experience working with diverse team including external partners
+ Ability to communicate regularly and effectively on test results and observations
+ Detail oriented
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
