The Medical Assistant (MA) performs job responsibilities under the direct supervision of the Clinic Manager and licensed professional staff. The MAs primary responsibility is to perform various office and clinical duties to keep our healthcare practice running efficiently. Our Medical Assistant will work directly with healthcare practice staff to collect test samples, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures to patients and assist in basic examinations. Adheres to the facility’s Core Values and mission with complete regard for the dignity of each person. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Education: High-School Diploma or GED are required. You may be asked to provide proof of education.
Licensure: None. See Certification requirement.
Experience: Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Other: Must understand English both written and spoken, must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law.
Preferred Education: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
Preferred Licensure: None.
Preferred Experience: One to two (1-2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant in healthcare setting.
Preferred Certifications: CMA (AAMA) or other national certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) national certification preferred.
