Job Description

Will be assigned as a floating production operator/fork truck operator in production plant. Will train on production machine operator positions to monitor running of product. Will be responsible for assisting machine operators when not operating forklift. Operate industrial fork trucks or tractors equipped to move materials to receive raw products used for production or moving the finished products.

Job duties:
Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels. Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
Observe operation of various machines to detect and correct machine malfunctions such as improper forming, water flow, tension.
Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.
Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Record information in computer and maintain production data such as meter readings, and quantities, types, and/or dimensions of materials produced.
Shovel, clear and remove excess scrap material for recovery.

Job requirements:
GED or high school diploma required plus some industrial manufacturing experience, construction or warehousing related work experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push & move up to 100 pounds.
Ability to effectively operate computer to record data in system and spreadsheets.
Ability to perform multiple duties with attention to detail.
Ability to work in extreme temperature changes, hot, cold and wet work environment.
Drug test, physical and background check required after hired.
Job references required.
Must be available to work any day during week and any shift.
