Shift: PRN, Rotating 12 hour shifts 0545 – 1815, Holiday’s, Overtime, Low Census Shifts and PRN guidelines for staffing requirements required

What You Will Do

As an Associate with St John Health System, you will have the opportunity to provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

Responsibilities:

+ Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.

+ Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.

+ Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.

+ Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.

+ Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

+ Required Credential(s):

+ CertifiedBLS Providercredentialed from theAmerican Heart Association (AHA)obtained within1 Month (30 days)of hire date or job transfer date.

+ Respiratory Care Practitionercredentialed from theOklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional letter will be accepted until license is issued.

+ Respiratory Therapistspecializing inRegistered.

+ Preferred Credential(s):

+ Advanced Life Support.

+ Certificationspecializing inNeonatal Resuscitation.

+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Education:

+ Diploma

+ High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree, or Technical degree required

Work Experience:

+ None required.
