ABOUT THIS POSITION
Under supervision, performs a variety of technical tasks of increased complexity including installation, testing and minor repairs of equipment. Complexity of assignments typically requires creativity and judgment to devise approaches to accomplish work, and to resolve design and operational problems. Supervisor will provide advice on unusual or controversial projects. Completed work is reviewed for compliance with overall project objectives.
Reads drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling equipment. Assists in the planning and performing of tests to evaluate equipment performance. Participates in process improvement initiatives to provide timely, cost-effective, quality services. Records and evaluates data and reports findings. Maintains lab area(s), including tool control and general organization of lab space.
+ Two year Associate Degree in an electrical or mechanical field with at least two years of experiences. An additional four years of experience may be substituted for the Associate degree.
+ Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with eligibility to obtain a DoD security clearance
+ Laboratory testing or fabrication experience of aeronautical components.
